Why Sex Deception is the Most Dangerous Cult

A critical look at the institutional power of Sex Deception.
The modern, corporate face of an ancient obsession with male desire and control.

Throughout history, cults have often been defined by their overt strangeness: charismatic leaders, isolated compounds, and a theology that separates believers from the rest of society. However, the most insidious cults are those that do not operate on the fringe but embed themselves within the very institutions of our culture. ‘Sex Deception’ - or what is more commonly known as ‘gender ideology’ - is precisely this kind of cult. Unlike its historical counterparts, it does not seek to separate its followers; rather, it seeks to capture and corrupt the very language, science, and social norms of the society it inhabits. Its power lies not in a charismatic leader, but in its ability to present itself as a progressive, compassionate, and undeniable truth.

The core deception is a simple, yet devastating, semantic trick: the conflation of sex with gender identity. The cult’s dogma dictates that a person’s biological sex is irrelevant, a mere ‘sex assigned at birth’ to be discarded at will. It replaces this material reality with the subjective, unverifiable concept of ‘gender identity,’ an innate feeling that supersedes all biological and social norms. This is not a scientific or a philosophical argument, it is a statement of faith. As with all cults, dissent is not permitted. Those who question this dogma, or insist on the reality of biological sex, are excommunicated, labelled as bigots, and systematically silenced. This is not a debate, it is a loyalty test.

The institutional nature of this cult is what makes it so dangerous. It has successfully captured the educational system, from primary schools to universities, where it is taught as an uncontroversial fact. It has infiltrated medicine, where doctors and therapists are coerced into affirming self-declared identities, often with drastic medical interventions. It has captured law, where sex-based rights and protections for women are being dismantled in favour of gender identity. This is not a grassroots movement, it is a coordinated, well-funded campaign of institutional capture. Data from a 2022 report by the Women’s Liberation Front revealed that over $1.5 billion has been funnelled into organisations promoting gender ideology, with significant portions of this coming from corporate and philanthropic bodies. This is not ideology, it is an industry.

The funny, and tragic, irony is that this supposedly ‘progressive’ movement is a throwback to the most regressive aspects of human history. At its core, Sex Deception is a revival of the ancient, male-centred obsession with male sexual desire and control. As feminist writers have repeatedly pointed out, the demand for men to be able to access women’s spaces, sports, and bodies is not a new fight for liberation but a very old fight for male privilege. The idea that a man can simply ‘identify’ his way into womanhood is a grotesque parody of female experience and a final, humiliating power play against women’s boundaries. It is misogyny in a new, technologically-advanced disguise.

Furthermore, the cult’s dogma of unquestioning affirmation is a form of spiritual abuse. It tells its followers, many of whom are young, vulnerable, and struggling with real-world problems, that their inner turmoil is a sign of a ‘true self’ waiting to be unlocked, and that any resistance they feel is internalised bigotry. It replaces empathy and critical thinking with a rigid set of therapeutic protocols and a relentless demand for social conformity. A 2024 longitudinal study from the Cass Review in the UK, for example, found that the uncritical affirmation model often failed to address underlying mental health issues, with many patients reporting no long-term benefits from medical transition.

The cult of Sex Deception is not dangerous because it is a fringe belief, it is dangerous because it is an institutional power, a well-funded industry, and a form of spiritual abuse that seeks to corrupt the foundations of our society. It forces women to accept male transgressions, it gaslights same-sex attracted people, and it coerces vulnerable young people into a damaging, lifelong medical path. To confront it, we must do more than just voice our opinions; we must engage in a forensic, fact-based critique of its claims, its funding, and its institutional reach. We must expose it not as a new form of human liberation but as what it truly is: a regressive, homophobic, and misogynistic cult that is intent on dragging us back into a darker, more primitive era.
